We've Only Just Begun...

Ahhh...the promise of a blank blog, just waiting to be filled with all kinds of goodies...

Before we get started, here's a bit about me:

I get depressed just thinking about all the cool people in the world I will never meet, so for me, this blog carries the opportunity to meet YOU, the cool people; to share ideas about food, interior design, and benefit from the fashionably delicious clothing styles of all the beautiful ladies out there in blog-land.
I live in Muncie, Indiana, a small, mid-American university town, where I'm usually the only girl around NOT in jeans and a Hollister t-shirt. I don't wear pants, and being the mom of two boys, I can often be found at the local ball-field in a silk skirt.
The question I get most asked is, "What ya so dressed up for, darlin'?
My answer -- I feel like being a work-at-home mom is a slippery slope to wearing nothing but one's pajamas all day, and don't ever want to be THAT girl!
I was trained in classical piano from the time I was six, and have been sewing
for myself since I was ten.
I think the designing sisters at Rodarte are genius...

...and I can see Kate Towers being the next big thing.

I have to thank Kim at Anthroholic for reawakening my Anthropologie infatuation after a five year, pregnancy-laden hiatus and Tien at adiaphane -- I could read her back-posts all day; I wish my house had that much beautiful natural light.

Here's to the beginning...

  1. Thanks for the shout out Kristina! I'm reading through your back-posts myself. I totally know how you feel about being overdressed because I often am. But you look great! I wish I were a better musician, but I suck so badly. Well, it's more like my fingers don't like to cooperate with my brains. I need to get back to the violin. I miss it.

I love the natural light in my place, but trust me, it's small. We traded the space we could get for the amount of light. But we're happy. We don't need a lot to be happy.

  2. Hi gorgeous Kristina.

I happened to find your blog today and from the first latest outfits and your banner alone (which I love) I knew I'd like it so count me as your newest follower and I decided to follow you from the very beggining. ;-) You sound like a fun, fabulous, pretty, stylish, girly & flirty girl & mom.

Please start following me too though (due to lack of time and not taking photos of myself I've been slacking on blogging) but yeah I am new in here, too.

    Nice meeting you. Ada.=)

  3. I'm a new reader and just went through all your posts (creeper!) and I got excited to see you're from Muncie because I'm an Indiana gal (to the west though, near Gary!) and almost went to BSU 11 loooooong years ago!
