Wearing: Ethereal

Thursday, May 5, 2011

Every once in a while,
a day comes along when you feel
life is pretty close to perfect,
and it has absolutely nothing to do
with what you're wearing or
how your life is progressing at that point.
It's almost an unexplainable state-of-mind...
that feeling of euphoria a girl gets
simply to be alive in those moments.
I had one of those days.
I'm not sure if it was the four
Coconut White Chocolate Mochas that
I consumed in a 24-hour period
or the fact the sun was shining the entire day
after three weeks of non-stop rain,
but whatever it was...I had that feeling.
And just for a moment,
I even believed I'd actually make it through
the Shopping Ban/Shop Your Closet Challenge
that I signed on for over at Anthroholic this morning!

(Anthropologie Ethereal blouse and Enchanted Eyes belt, thrifted maxi skirt, Target Presta Wedges)

I've received a boat-load of questions about
what products I use for my hair and I've been
trying to answer those one email at a time,
but I got a message from one of you lovely ladies the other day and
when I opened it to reply back, the message literally disappeared.
If you asked and didn't get a reply from me, sorry about that...
I use the Generic brand for
Biolage Gelee and Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine.

Next week, I'm taking the entire week to post a Making It Work series of outfits
based entirely on the color scheme below.
Color Block 2
Putting outfits together based on certain color
combinations is something I do all the time,
so I figured now would be a good as time as any
to share the process with you...especially considering
the "shop your closet" thing and all.

Happy Mother's Day to all the
the fabulous Mommies out there!

  2. Love your colour-block idea! I totally need to wear that shade of pumpkin orange with pink- right now!!! I'll be following you all with your challenge- trying to do the same myself but unofficially (so I can cheat if 'need' be....)
