I had the best intentions for blogging this week...so many things I wanted to share, including a Make It Work post featuring the Anthro Ackee pencil skirt...unfortunately, my daughter came down with a severe cold, then my youngest son started running a fever and I'm functioning on just the eensiest amount of sleep and zero inspiration....sigh....I keep reminding myself that things have to get better, no? All that aside, I think the most delicious clothing item a girl could invest in right now is a pleated maxi skirt--so versatile and glamorous all the while looking effortless. I can't get enough of mine, so this is the first of many times you're sure to see it on the blog!

Kristina, you look lovely and I love that shade of pink on a maxi skirt! By the way, may I ask who takes your pictures? They are so beautiful and really capture the moment.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are stunning Kristina. I love the skirt on you. I've been looking on ASOS myself lately. May as well take advantage of the free worldwide shipping!
ReplyDeleteHope your little ones are filling better soon. We've all been fighting head colds and sore throats around here. Super fun. I love that skirt on you...the color is so vibrant and rich. You look gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI am loving these pleated maxis this summer! Must get on finding one, you look lovely!!
ReplyDeleteLove that last picture of you!
ReplyDeleteDea--Thanks, hon! I have a friend who is breaking into the photography business...if the pictures look clear and lovely, it's because she takes them! If they're fuzzy, more than likely my six year old son has taken them! =)
ReplyDeleteJen--I LOVE the free worldwide shipping! It's a huge influencer in who I order from.
Molly--Hate to hear that! It's so hard when the kiddos are sick. I'd rather be sick myself.
Soanthro and Jenny--Thanks girls! =)
If you don't mind me asking, what hair products do you use? I love your curls!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skirt! I've been looking for the perfect pleated maxi skirt. I'll have to check out ASOS!!!
ReplyDeleteI am seeing lots of pleated maxi skirts around the blogosphere and am not influenced to buy myself one. My only problem with the maxi skirt is that I can never figure out what kind of top to wear with it. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous--I use the generic brand for Biologe Gelee and then top it off with Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine Spray. My hair's really thick so I'm not sure how these products would work for fine hair.
ReplyDeleteSweet Laundry--You must try one! Of course, that's just my opinion...=)
I think you can work it with everything from a basic tee to a button up shirt to a tee with cardi on top. Pretty much the same things you'd wear with a shorter skirt.
