Good morning, readers!  As I mentioned in a previous post, I've been blogging for a year now, and the number one, most awesome thing I love about it is the amazing talent I've discovered in women who are sometimes half a world away.  It's astounding to me how the technical landscape has completely altered the exposure a talented, independent designer can get through social networks and blogging...how web sites like Etsy and bigCartel bring us art from unique perspectives that might otherwise die in obscurity.

My amazing flower pin was made for me by Gia of One Perfect Day.  She lives in Greece (cool!) and makes all kinds of gorgeous flowers (double cool!) that she sells in her Etsy store.  When she e-mailed about gifting me with one of these beauties I jumped on it! Her workmanship is impeccable and creative, with an attention to detail...right down to the color of the stitching on the leaves.  She even made me a smaller version for my daughter, which I'll be posting about later.

Gia's creations are perfect for weddings or everyday.  They're the unique gift you need for that hard-to-buy-for person in your life.  And what says, "I love you" better than custom-made, hmmm?  Go visit her store and see if you aren't blown away by her spot-on florals. Discovering wildly talented women like Gia inspires me--it's the challenge I need to continue honing my craft, to construct pieces with the highest quality I can attain and then, wait to see what doors open wide.

  11. 1. Respect their business cards. The Chinese consider exchanging business cards the same way we consider a handshake. They exchange business cards the moment they greet you. People often present their business cards to you with both hands. Take them with both hands. Don put the card away immediately. Rather, place it on the table or hold it in your hand for some time. Make an effort to look at the person's title Tobacco Store. Take plenty of business cards with you when you go to China Cheap Cigarettes Free Shipping. It's advisable to adopt a Chinese name Newport Cigarettes. That will signal to people you culturally savvy. Ask a Chinese-speaking friend to help you. Print only your name and title in Chinese. The rest should be in English.
