Anthropologizing: Alary + Anaheim

Sunday, March 4, 2012

Obviously, I was conflicted on this project.
I loved the colors of the Anaheim, but not the silhouette.
I loved the cut of the Alary, but I was never going to find that fabric.
I went with the next best option...making a dress using my favorite elements from both.

I built the sleeves first, since they were the main event of the Anaheim dress. I loved that surprising pop of color from the original.

It makes me smile when a dress surprises me on the inside.

Have an epic week, mah dears.

  17. I've only recently begun following your blog, but adore the items you make/wear and how you view your creativity as a gift from and for God. Such an inspiration! :)

I've always been hesitant to wear orange, but have always wanted to (orange is one of my favorite colors!). My hair is so much like yours (both the color and the curls!) and seeing you rock the dress makes me think that I just might be able to wear that color as well. :) Love it.
