At the risk of being shot by the art not ads people, I've opened the option for advertising on Kristina J. I've resisted the whole concept in spite of a consistent stream of emails asking about sponsor opportunities on the blog because, quite honestly, the whole idea sort of terrifies me.
However, that being said, I also think it is an amazing way to bring attention to other artisans, bloggers and small business owners. I can't even count how many amazing artists I've made contact with because of a button featured in a sidebar. As I get closer to opening a clothing site of my own and hammering out my business model, I absolutely recognize the role advertising will play in the success of my business. I'm also currently working on another book proposal (insert excited giggle here) that will be an extension of what you normally see here on Kristina J. (more deets later!) and am looking to amp up the professional aspect of the blog.

So while I'm terrified, I'm also excited for the opportunity to feature bloggers, businesses and makers of awesome things everywhere...to bring attention to their work, dreams and passions while keeping the focus of the blog on my DIY style projects and whatnot.
If you're interested in advertising on Kristina J., you can get more information here or click the sponsor button in the sidebar.
And for those of you who aren't, I hope to keep my little space of the web as inoffensive and clutter-free as possible so you can continue to enjoy and be inspired.

  3. I love this look! I remember as a little girl my mom would sew us girls pleated wool plaid skirts with crisp white button down peter pan collar blouses and my grandmother would knit us little cardigans, we would put on our buster browns and go to school. I have always had a love affair with plaid, most of the time now it is in flannel work shirts, if I lived somewhere that I could wear that outfit,, I would in a heartbeat. SOOOO CUTE!!

  5. Good for you! I don't know why people are against ads. It's a good way to help promote small or any sized business, plus it helps yours as well. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be successful, or wanting to make money. People just get bitter, and you can't let people like that get in the way of your dreams. This is a super cute outfit! Very well put together and you look fantastic! Keep up the excellent work! I am a new follower, and a new fan! Good luck with all your ventures!
