Four things I learned this week:
1) Snow will blind you, if you drive in it long enough.
2) It's awesome to have big snow-covered hills for the kiddos to slide down (now if only we owned some sled-like thingy for them to slide down the hills with).
3) Snow + freezing temps + no school boredom = lots of hot chocolate and games of ROOK (oh, and baby lions).
4) When you can't beat the weather, embrace it. The embracing thing is what I prefer, if you were wondering.
#1 - I can commiserate. I took the pup to a big field by the house today so she could run around in the snow and I didn't have sunglasses. Wow, that was blinding! ;o)
ReplyDeleteEmbrace it with a snow-white dress! Lovely!
ReplyDelete"what doesn't kill you makes you stronger"... but I like your favorite phrase a little better. It is hard to feel sorry for people who get snow days... I live in Utah and we NEVER get a day off for snow! We are dying for just one day off.. to sleep in, drink hot coco, stay in pj's... or play out in the snow!
ReplyDeleteLovely dress and outfit!
ReplyDeleteAnd as for things to slide down, we use our big metal bowls (we do have one really huge one we use for caramel popcorn, which is the best). They beat any store bought sled any day.
