I'm only totally, completely slightly enamored with pencil dresses. First, the great ones are so hard to come by. Second, there's something so oh-look-she's-all-grown-up-and-wearing-the-classics about them. This heavy, wool herringbone fabric feels luxurious and stays put without making me feel matronly. And it's sooo warm. (Even girls down south understand the importance of that little benefit this winter.)
And the red lining...people! How a dress feels when you put it on is very important, no? If you don't think the inside matters, I'm not sure we can be friends...just kidding.
