Everything about this season seems compressed.
Hurry...get the Christmas presents picked out...quickly...and wait in line to pay.
Rush...wrap the presents...and fast...run to the store to buy more tape.
Quick...hurry home to bake the cookies and send the cards...and rush off to the post office.
On yet another quick run to the store, I bought husbie a new bottle of body wash on which the label touted SMELLS LIKE WILDERNESS, OUTDOORS and FREEDOM...
and I thought, They really need a body wash that says, SMELLS LIKE FOLDED LAUNDRY, FRESH COOKIES and WRAPPED PRESENTS...now that would sell!
The preparations can be so intense, which is why I'm really looking forward to Christmas day when it totally acceptable and even expected that a girl will do nothing but eat and spend time with all her favorite people.
