It's so hard to be productive this time of year. I fully intended to start on the Intelligencer Coat this week...but did that happen? No. Instead, the kiddos and I have played multiple rounds of UNO and Phase 10. We've wrapped presents, played lions and tigers, built pillow forts and sipped on Caramel Steamers. I've been completely unproductive, and yet...when I see the smiles of those three little people who call me Mom, I feel the satisfaction of an intangible success--as if, just maybe, by being present, I've demonstrated the true spirit of Christmas.
That in all we do this season--the presents, the feasting, the playing, the togetherness--we do with worship towards a Savior Who came helpless...so we could be strong.
