How To Raise a Neckline By Replacing The Bodice

Sunday, September 15, 2013

I found this fabulous jersey dress at an overstock sale at Marshall's. The seam was ripped out at the shoulder but since I loved the teal and navy color-blocking, I bought it hoping I could salvage the bottom portion of this off the shoulder dress.
If a perfect match can't be found you can always introduce another color to the mix. My plans had been to add a green bodice, but I happened to find a clearance jersey tee in the exact navy blue at Kohl's. The result is a comfy summer dress I can work into fall with a jacket thrown on top much like my other color-block dress.

  8. This is great. Would some readers find it helpful if you offered a brief instruction on adjusting the circumference of the pieces to match?
