What Kenzie Wore

(Maggie Zoe Dress)

As a stay-at-home mommy, I'm always a little amused when someone finds out and responds incredulously,
"What do you DO all day?"
There's something inside me that wants to reply,
"Uh, HELLO!!!??? I'm a Super-Hero!"

I wake up; try to squeeze in a shower before the ravenous wolves descend for breakfast, clean up the spilled milk, proceed to dress four people, put on their shoes, then change the said shoes my son has grown out of apparently overnight, head out to the car, go back inside to change my other son's clothes, who has just ripped his shorts climbing the chain-link fence, and put new underwear on my recently potty-trained daughter who "almost made it".
After the damage control, we pile into the car and I discover I've left my keys lying on the counter (again).
I go 'round to look for the spare key (which I probably forgot to return to its place last time I used it) and after grabbing the snacks I left in the fridge, we head out for story-time at the library.

And all this before 9:00 AM!!

It's amazing that any mom (without the help of a full-time nanny) manages to make it out the door with everyone fully clothed, not to mention semi-coordinating.
It's an insane life...I mean, seriously...am I the only one who's ever wondered what in the world I did the two hours I had to primp in front of the mirror every morning?

Oh, well...at least Kenzie looked good. Here are a few of the ways she stepped out in JULY.

  1. I just found your blog through your FB update. I 'know' you through ACE school (when we both were younger). I just have to tell you that every time I see your pictures (through mutual friends) you have the cutest clothes on. I don't even have children yet and hardly manage to make it out the door looking put together, so kuddos to you! =) I'm going to keep checking back here and hopefully you'll also be referencing things you wear!

  4. Oh my goodness -- your daughter is too cute! I don't have children yet, but I'm sure that when I do, they will have much cuter clothes than I do!

My mother was a stay-at-home mom, and it was so beneficial to my brothers and I. And taking care of kids and a house is definitely a full-time job!

  5. Kristina, in your first beggining post you didn't mention you had a little girl as well as two boys. I knew about the boys but OMG your girl looks and is super-cute in these amazing fashions. Quite a fashionista you got in your hands and she sure takes after mom. Stay-at-home moms ROCK!!

    Hugs <3 Ada.
