Wearing: Lost Time Skirt

One year...52 weeks...365 days...525,600 minutes.

"This may be the turning point your grandchildren will tell stories about years from now: the time you leap over the abyss to the other side and begin your life in earnest. On the other hand, this moment of truth may end up being nothing more than a brief awakening when you glimpse what's possible, but then tell yourself, 'Nah, that's waayy to far to jump.' In that case, your grandchildren will have to be content talking about what delicious cookies you used to bake...It will all depend on how brave you'll be."
Rob Brezsny

Last summer, I decided to quit wasting time--to be brave and step out into a place that was completely uncharted and embrace an unknown destiny.
There are times when I feel completely inadequate at everything and mediocre at best, but I figure, talent is God's gift to me and what I do with it is my gift back.

As a result of the journey I started last year, big things are happening in my life right now. I mean, like, really, really, CRAZY BIG things that I can't tell you about yet and that's all I'm sayin' (though it's absolutely killing me)!
But stay tuned, 'cuz I promise to fill you in with all the details as soon as I can!

  8. You are such a tease! I'm glad you are choosing to be "BRAVE" and I hope whatever big things are on your horizon will become reality for you. I can't wait to read about it!

I absolutely adore your blog. Seriously, it is my favorite blog (and I read a lot of Anthro blogs!). You combine my obsession of Anthro with my other obsession, family, and throw in some really great "food for thought." You are clearly a well rounded person and I thoroughly enjoy checking in on your blog everyday and I giggle with delight every time I see a new post as it is always inspiring! THANKS!

  9. So fun! Your ebay suggestions were fantastic! I think I am going to start an Anthro folder on my desktop and save pics and names of the dresses I love and then search them out. You totally have me thinkin of all the possibilities now!

  10. Your ensembles are alway so gorgeous. The mustard-hued blouse is gorgeous against the skirt, and this may be my favorite way I have seen the Precious Materials cardi styled. You look stunning!

As I read you post, I thought of "Seasons of Love" from the musical RENT. 525,600 minutes...

Peggy, believe it or not, my four-year-old son, Reagan takes the pictures...I told him he might be destined to be a photographer with all the compliments he's getting on here...I'm gonna have to do a feature on him or something.
Liz, can't wait to hear about your big, brave step...I'm a huge fan of you.
Brenda, if only I was as talented as you!
Drew, you are soooo kind...thanks so much for the encouragement.

Jamie, it's so true...I never actually thought about that song until you mentioned it, and then I couldn't quit singing it!!!
