This is the amazing find I just scored on Ebay--the Sand-Skimmer Dress.
I guess, for this land locked girl it could more appropriately be called the Leaf-Skimmer, but who really cares?
I mean, no matter the name, this is a serious amount of dress.
My MIL practically swooned when she saw it, no doubt from the nostalgia the 1970's silhouette brought on; not to mention all the memories of similar dresses she no doubt spent most her summer days in.
I did not expect to love this dress, but ya know, I kinda think I really like it.
Oh, yeah...and my four-year-old took these pictures while we were at the park. I couldn't believe how great they were when I downloaded them...I mean, I had no idea he'd turned the camera at these unique angles.
Gotta make sure to offer that boy some candy or somethin'!

Oh Kristina this dress is lovely on you! I think I'm to petite for something like this, but the leaf skimming hemline is so elegant on you. I love how the skirt spreads when you're sitting in the grass too. And your four year old is a genius!

I always feel like I'm drowning in material when I wear something long and flowy, BUT on you - this looks great! What a great ebay score!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic! I, too, love the dress, but am a bit surprised that I am so into it, so I know what you mean when you say you didn't expect like it as much as you do. The photos are great, too. I especially love the one of you sitting amongst the leaves, hat it your hand - very frame-worthy!

ReplyDeletebeautiful dress, amazing pics! your 4 yr old has quite the artistic eye...he is definitely on his way to being a fantastic photographer!!!
ReplyDeleteYour little one has impressive photography skills! The first shot is out of a dream - just lovely. I never think much of maxi dresses, but the 70s vibe is very romantic and you are wearing it well.
ReplyDeleteMy 12 year old brother actually took the photo in my blog's header with his phone and I never expected to like it as much as I do!
