Constructing: Sedona Skirt

Monday, November 22, 2010

I whipped up this skirt for a non-special occasion that I felt like I just had to have an orange skirt for, then wished I hadn't made it quite so fast...(no pockets, boooo...)
Oh, well, learn from the mistakes, Kristina...

So, just days from Thanksgiving!
What's everybody wearing?
Do you dress up? Go casual?
Can't wait to hear...

(Kristina J. Sedona Skirt, J.Crew Gold Lame Petal Tank, Anthro Wish You Were Here Cardi and Mystery watch, Nicole boots)

  1. I'm wearing scrubs--but happy thanksgiving all you fashionistas!!

  2. The skirt is adorable, even without pockets!

I'm planning on wearing the Anthro Chocolate Chip Dress. It's been sitting in my closet, unworn. I have a feeling the buttons are going to pop open in the back, so I'm going to wear a nice cardigan to hide them until I can ask my mom to make some alterations.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. love that skirt!!! i always skip the pockets when i am "whipping " something up quick! i always regret it too! ;)

  4. I love this outfit! The skirt is great and I'm dying over the boots!!

I haven't decided what to wear especially since I'll probably be cooking until the last minute. It has to be something comfy because I see lots of eating ging on that day:)

  5. Oh, Kristina, this totally reminds me that I'm supposed to order this skirt from you! (Do you think there's any more of that orange fabric at left at the store?)

I still don't know what I'm going to wear - should I take a break from the 30 for 30? Or should I stick to it and power through? Gah, can't decide...

  6. Kristina - do you sell your designs? Because this skirt is GREAT and looks a lot like last year's Anthropologie Thousand Days skirt. I'd love to buy one in another color :)
You are so amazing talented and beautiful!

  7. Oh, aren't you clever Kristina! This is such a nice, flattering skirt. The vibrant hue is also great! I love your outfit - head to toe!
We don't have thanksgiving in oz, so no holiday outfit for me. Have a fab time!

  8. i love that skirt.
    you look beautiful as always.
i might get dressed up for thanksgiving..
the husband and i just go to cracker barrel together.
we dont travel bc he works retail and has to work the day before and day after.. boo.

  9. that top...i love it, must have one!!! i need more info on it if you have any i can't seem to find it????...yes, will defintely dress up for tg..

  10. LOVE this skirt~!
    Happy Thanksgiving!

  11. Well... with our recent move and feeling so overwhelmed at work lately... I'm leaning towards comfort over dressy on Thanksgiving. Have a couple of days off work this week just might inspire me to get my closet organized and pull together something that makes me feel pretty! =)
By the way, I love this outfit. I'm all about ruffles, so this tank is gorg! Great work with the skirt...pockets or not it looks great on you!

  12. Kristina, great skirt. Would you sell that skirt in size 4, same color? I am so interested! I havent decided what I am wearing for Thanksgiving....maybe my teacups dress.

  13. Cosmopolitan Cowgirl--I am looking for similar fabric...the store I bought this from has discontinued the line...grrr...I will definitely be offering this skirt up as soon as I can find a suitable replacement, fabric wise...

  14. You are fantastically talented to be able to make and mod your own clothes! I kind of have a sewing machine on my Christmas list but I'm afraid to really ask for me bc if I actually get one, will I use it?!

I love love this outfit on you. It is so put together yet still has that "Kristina" whimsy!

  15. shirt info please, please please.....i want one!!! :)

  16. Found your blog via Weardrobe, started skimming, became intrigued, then I saw these boots. I have the same ones. You are now on my blog roll.

  17. oh my goodness, I love this skirt!
Can I buy one from you?
    awesome work!
