November 25, Twenty-Ten

I'm thankful for:
the sun, even when it doesn't shine,
the rain, even when it ruins my hair.
Makenzie, because she's such a girl (just like me),
lots of friends, though I hate when lots of miles separate us,
fabric, because it's so much fun to manipulate,
chocolate, because even though it can't solve life's problems,
it does make them seem temporarily small and silly
compared to sheer taste-bud ecstasy,
Reagan, because there's never a dull moment with him,
tears, because they wash away the emotional junk,
parents, because without them I'd be nothing,
hugs, even when they're not long enough,
Konrad, because he reminds me of my brother,
laughter, because it keeps me sane,
criticism, because it keeps me grounded,
confidence, though there are times I should second-guess myself,
a relationship with Christ, because without Him,
I'm the most bitter, unlovable version of myself,
Scott, there's no such thing as too much time with him,
music, because it communicates with a place deep inside me,
love, because it always remains,
and you, for taking the time to read this.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving, Kristina! You look wonderful!

  2. Love the slightly messy up do. I've got a pair of shoes similar to those. Needless to say I'm quite fond of yours as well. (:

  3. Happy Thanksgiving! Your little pilgrams are the cutest!

  4. Awww, what cute little pilgrims! You look great too! I LOVE your Orla Kiely bag. :-)

  5. Super cute post. your littlest boy reminds me so much of my brother when he was a little boy!!

  6. SWEEEEET! Happy thanksgiving!
How cute are your kids. I just love how you "dressed" them up. Loving that combo so much. It's absolutely perfect!

  7. Your kids are so pretty :) And your little girl is just sweet. You look wonderful Kristina, as always.

  8. I'm a huge fan of modesty, so go you!
Thanks for hyping me and all that other stuff!

  9. Kristina,

The kids are cute as buttons. Love the photos on the divider. Very dramatic. Were you at all nervous?

I adore the Orla Kiely bag. It's not one I am familiar with. It looks like the same pastel stem print from SS08.

  10. Thank you for this lovely post, Kristina. It was such a helpful reminder to appreciate all the things that really DO matter in lives. And your little pilgrims look so adorable in their Thanksgiving outfits!

  11. Man, girl, you make it look effortless. Love the brave highway shots, the amazing booties, the creative use of scrabble tiles to send holiday greets... and of course I was totally touched by your list. Your blog is always one of my favs.

    Leaving the House in THIS?!?!

  12. Those booties are perfection! And your little pilgrims are soo cute.
