These little Ralph Lauren dresses are adorable,
and sometimes a mom just doesn't
want to let such cuteness go,
even when her little girl has grown out of it.
My friend asked me to add some ruffles to
her daughter's dress to make it last an extra year...
What's so crazy is that Ralph Lauren
added ruffles to his originals this year,
so this tutorial keeps a dress lookin' totally legit.
You want this strip to be the exact diameter
of the bottom of the dress,
plus at least 1/4 inch for a seam.
I LOVE this! What an amazing idea!!! I am totally going to do this to my little one's dresses! I've been adding a strip of fabric to pants to make them last another year because her waist is so skinny, and now this will be another wonderful idea. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSuch a CUTE model! Thanks for doing such a great job on the dress. LOVE IT!!! : ) JS
ReplyDeleteso cute! I found a perfect dress at Ross that fit like a glove, but the zipper was broken. Maggie said, "Maybe you can mail it to Kristina J. to fix!" heehee
