Wearing: Ardennes

Sometimes, things just don't go as planned. The milk spills, a dentist appointment is forgotten and your professional life competes for every free moment of time you wanted to spend playing pass with your children.

In those moments, I always have to take a deep mental breath and remind myself what's really important...of the rich intangibles of life. Milk can be wiped away, the appointment can be rescheduled and any professional success that comes along is empty without my family to share the joy with me.

It's true, sometimes, things just don't go as planned. Sometimes, when my children hug me, they smear peanut butter on my clothes and sometimes, they leave play-doh inside my shoes, but always, the greatest compliments I get are the ones when my children say, "You look really pretty, mommy."
And in those moments, I have to take a deep mental breath and remind myself that sometimes, things go better than could ever be expected.

Simply Vera bag, Target Marylynn pumps, AE watch)

  1. Love how you styled the Ardennes Skirt with Pin Stripes and Chambray.

I love how you blurred out the bottom of the Sepia photo in front of the Wood Door. So soft!

Enjoy every moment with the little ones. They grow too fast and suddenly they are gone in a blink of the eye.

  2. I missed out on this skirt and am quite sad about it. Love it with the tshirt and blazer - it makes it look edgy, yet the pastel colours maintain that femininity.
I agree with your children - mummy looks very pretty :-)
