How to Style your Maxi for Fall 4

Skirt: Anthro Post-Impressionist   Sweater: GAP  Watch: AE  Bag: Simply Vera

1.  Downtown Edge  A maxi skirt is super girly, so pairing a boxy striped sweater on top is the perfect balance of tomboy and feminine.  It looks completely pulled together without being at all fussy. Plus, the pattern play is beyond visually interesting, and styling a maxi this way is so super-comfy!  Talk about the best of both worlds.

The really great thing about a maxi skirt is that you don't need a closet full of them.  A great maxi has a lot of personality, so one skirt in an eye-popping color and another constructed out of a multi-hued print will give you tons of mileage for fall, bringing their own dramatic impact to your wardrobe.

Maxi skirts can feel more dressy and formal than their knee-length counterparts, so when in doubt, dress them down with more casual pieces to ensure your look is modern and fun.

Much love, readers....have a fabulous weekend!

  1. Thanks to this series, I have styled a maxi for fall and am thrilled to delay the onset of tights just a bit longer! Much obliged. :-D
