Wearing: A Separate Space

Good Evening, dahlings!
I've had the most amazing weekend...
got to spend a beautiful morning at the park with friends,
enjoyed a perfect afternoon with my children,
and finished reading The King's Speech
(which I thought was brilliant).

I caved on my shopping ban to
buy a pair of patent leather ballet flats from DSW,
although I don't really think it counts,
'cuz my Rewards certificate was about to expire,
so I JUST HAD to use it up, right?
Don't want any free money to go to waste...

So, what did you think of the Color Scheming posts?
I've had a few requests for another one,
but I wanted to ask what everyone thought first.
If I do another one, I'd let you choose the colors.

Wearing: A Separate Space

Life is not a beginning or an end.
It's an epic journey--
a grand exploration full of frolics
through brightly-colored meadows,
steep climbs up awe-inspiring mountains and
hazardous treks across barren wastelands.

Change is an inevitable part of life, bringing
bright skies one day and dark storms the next.
Life can be comfortable and then, without warning,
tilt to a place that is completely unrecognizable.

Sometimes, we lose our footing on a
rough road full of unforeseen obstacles.
Sometimes, the search for stable ground is grueling...
but we do eventually recover.
Inexplicably, life resumes its predictable pattern--
winter's icy clutches are overcome by the vigor of spring
and summer relinquishes its radiant crown to autumn--
the unspoiled moments of ordinary life settle in again.

There is a certain amount comfort in the status quo...
in keeping things as they presently are.
But there is always a choice...another path to take...
and while one is easy and predictable and easily walked,
that is its only reward.
So, dare to live rather than merely exist.
Choose to take the path that can take you somewhere new.
