BODEN, a hugely popular store from Great Britain, is currently my favorite source of inspiration. Their catalog is just this beautiful explosion of color and ideas and their clothing has a
LONG option that is generally 2-3 inches longer than the regular offering (super handy for girls who want more coverage). Photo spreads with lots of prints, amazing
color combinations and the special detailing incorporated into the designs are a few of the reasons why I love
BODEN dresses.
Vanessa Dress | A perfect floral confection for the girl who wants to imagine it's spring.
Wool Skater Dress | On trend and any occasion ready. Fitted, wool and classic...what more could you ask for in a Valentine's day dress?
Amelie Dress | Striped details? Comfy knit? Pink and Red? Yes, please!
Tea Dress | A happy, polka-dotted bit of loveliness that lends itself to layering with a blazer or cardigan.
LAURA DRESS | Spend a comfy day with hot cocoa and then on to a cozy date with your valentine in this fitted, knit dress. It's a day to evening delight.
Lola Dress | A feminine take on a print dress designed for dressing up or dressing down. The choice, as they say, is yours.
Alma Dress | Simple yet so spectacular, with cutout details that reveal a contrasting color beneath.
YOUR TURN:
Which of these dresses would catch your eye for a Valentine's Day event?
SEW | An eyeglass print dress that is NOT a hot mess from an
Eva Franco collection.
HOME | Exactly the sort of
re-purposed eyeglass chandelier you'd find in the home of the coolest of nerds
via The Optical Vision Site.

I'd never have guessed my mother's cat-eye glasses might one day be considered completely legit for a young girl like me, but as the eyeglass world looks to the past for inspiration, you and I get to benefit from all the frames that help us project an image that is artisanal and intelligent. And what's not to love about that?
SEW | Me thinks the citrus loveliness in this
closet is to die for. Sunny yellow dress, anyone?
HOME | Oh, I do so love this impeccable room from
Escapade...
STYLE | A perfect pop of color spotted at
London Fashion Week. Who cares about rainy weather if you're wearing a dress like this?
ETSY | This Kindle/iPad carrier from
RogueTheory is currently on my faves list.
ART | Watercolor meets fashion in this lovely illustration from
Gemma Milly.
FABRICS | This Andrea Lauren print would look fabulous worked into a retro-inspired day dress.
DIY | I'll take a bow with my veggies, please.
Thank you. via

Citrus is a color I love but am always afraid to try. Enough of that: the fear ends here. Why should I be afraid of a tufted citrus couch or elegant table bow? Such a color is bold and makes a statement while exuding warmth and confidence. And that's why I love it.
SEW | Do I wanna stitch a closet full of preppy button-up prints? Oh, yeah.

HOME | Currently obsessed with updating the steps our mid-century home using this runner idea from
Creative Juice.
STYLE | Mix your navy with a floral print and re-imagine a nautical theme like Anh from
9to5Chic.
ETSY | The Latice Pillow Cover by
Lily Pillow makes me want to dress up if only to sit on the couch.
ART | I want to skip under the umbrella in this note card scene by
Quill and Fox.
FABRIC | Oh, the detailing in this intricate print from
Xenia Boutique.
DIY | Let's create an adult version of these adorable flats from
Joyfolie, shall we?
For a frustrated (translation: land locked) nautical lover, nothing feels more graphic than the mix of navy and cream and I love to incorporate these colors into every aspect of my life. The trellis stair runner? The jaunty bunny couple? The floral skirt with navy blazer? They all exhibit the characteristics that are essentially ME--the more whimsical, the better. And that's why I love them.
